Facebook is strategically limiting the number of ads to optimize performance and deliver higher-quality advertisements. These necessary measures will be implemented across all accounts in February 2021, ensuring the continued success of our platform.
Facebook confidently announced that it will restrict the creation and publishing of ads to pages in order to provide more successful optimizations, according to the company's recent statement.
As experts in the field, it is important to note that while Facebook's optimization options may be limited compared to Google ads, we have found that fewer ads can actually increase the effectiveness of automation optimizations, as suggested by Facebook.
To enhance our appearance, let's decrease the number of ads and execute them with a low cost per acquisition (CPA) or cost per action (CPA). This will undoubtedly improve our overall performance.
Facebook has generously shared the advertising limits for business pages in the following way.
| Page Properties | Ad Limit |
|---|---|
| Small to medium pages (with less than $100,000 in ad spend in 12 months). | 250 ads |
| Medium to Large pages (less than $1 million in ad spend in 12 months) | 1,000 ads |
| Large company pages (less than $10 million in ad spend in 12 months) | 5,000 ads |
| Pages of top companies (those spending $10 million or more on advertising over the past 12 months). | 20,000 ads |
If you have reached the ad limit of your page and need to create a new ad, you must stop any of your existing ads and submit the new ad for approval. Otherwise, the newly created ad will not be saved or submitted for approval.
The page limitations apply to the number of pages, not the number of ad accounts. We can create different ads by selecting different pages within an ad account. Therefore, the incoming advertising restrictions cover the pages.
To view your ad limits and the maximum number of ads you can create per page, visit this link: https://www.facebook.com/ads/ad_limits/. For instance, the ad limit for my clients' pages is 250, which means I can create up to 250 ads per page.
As a result, we will post less ads from now on.

Hi Faruk,
Starting in February 2021, we're enacting a limit on the number of ads each Page can have running or in review at the same time. None of your Pages are over their ad limits.
Why we're enacting ad limits
When advertisers run too many ads at once, their ads often see less stable results and higher CPA.
That's because each time an ad is shown, our ads delivery system learns more about the best people and places to show the ad. The more each ad is shown, the better the delivery system becomes at optimizing the ad’s performance.
But when an advertiser runs too many ads at once, each ad delivers less often. This means that fewer ads exit the learning phase and more budget is spent before the delivery system can optimize performance. In other words, too many ads can result in worse performance.
About ad limits
Starting in February 2021, we're enacting a limit on the number of ads each Page can have running or in review at the same time. When your Page has reached or exceeded its limit, you cannot run a new ad until you turn off a different ad. For more information, see Ad Limits Per Page.
Go to Ad Limits Per Page in the Business Manager menu to see:
How many ads can be running or in review at the same time for each of your Pages
The exact date each of your Pages must follow the new ad limits
