I ended my adventure in America for about 4.5 years and returned to Turkey for good.

You might be curious about my actions. We were attempting to flee, yet I made the decision to return. You might ask yourself, "What's wrong with you?" or "Why would you do that?" Rest assured, I encounter these questions on a daily basis. However, it's worth noting that 99% of those who ask have never experienced living abroad.

I would like to clarify that if I were a citizen or held a Green Card, I would not have returned to Turkey.

America for Language School

Going to America for language school is an excellent decision! However, it's important to have enough money to cover the cost of language school and living expenses during your stay if you plan to work in America to pay for your education. Otherwise, you may find it challenging to learn and make a living in America. Many Turks typically work in various jobs, such as pedicab drivers, waiters, Uber drivers, or delivery personnel, to make ends meet.

In short, all of these jobs are hard jobs, not easy jobs. Even if your goal is to save money, I don't think you should do this to yourself.

Typically, individuals attending language schools aim to settle down and establish a life in the school's country. Although the main goal is to enhance language proficiency, real-life circumstances might contradict this. Students might opt to get married (whether for financial reasons, out of love, or mutual agreement), search for a professional job that can sponsor their stay, or even contemplate unlawful ways to earn money and return home.

Attending a language school plays a significant role in a person's life. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct thorough research on the country you plan to visit before enrolling in a language school. By doing so, you can make an informed decision and proceed confidently.

America For Tourism

If your goal is to shop, then you've made an excellent decision. Despite the value of the dollar in Turkey, you can still make a substantial profit on your shopping, particularly when it comes to electronics.opping.

Furthermore, locating any necessary item in America is a trivial task. This is due to the fact that every American is driven to both generate income and sustain a superior standard of living. As a consequence, individuals either manufacture and distribute products domestically or acquire them from abroad.

The East Coast boasts the thriving city life of New York, Boston, and other urban areas. You'll have endless opportunities to go shopping, marvel at famous landmarks and buildings, visit world-renowned museums, and take stunning photos.

When it comes to summer vacations, the West Coast - California, in particular - is an ideal destination. Not only can you swim in the ocean and have fun, but you can also enjoy the sights. It's worth noting, however, that West Coast tickets can be pricey, and the journey can be quite long. Thus, plan accordingly and make the most of your trip with confidence!

America for Business

With the proper resources, anyone can do business in America and earn a substantial income. However, to ensure success, it is essential to have the guidance of a competent lawyer. It is strongly advised to seek legal assistance if you do not hold a Green Card before attempting to complete any work on your own.

As a Green Card holder or citizen, you have every reason to feel confident about your current situation. You are eligible for government incentives from Turkey and can engage in business activities in America with ease.

Technology is one of the most promising fields for employment in America. With crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter, you have easy access to investors and funding opportunities for your product.

America to Work

Regrettably, a Green Card or legal work permit is necessary to work in the United States. In the past, obtaining a work permit was relatively straightforward. However, since Trump took office, the process has become more challenging. All the laws have been officially rewritten, making it twice as difficult to obtain a work permit. Nonetheless, with proper guidance and resources, the process can still be navigated with success.

It is a fact that some men express their opposition towards immigration in their country. However, it is important to remember that they themselves are immigrants in that same country. For example, a significant number of white Americans descended from European immigrants, while black Americans are either indigenous to the land or are descendants of people from Africa or North America.

America to live

If you lack legal authorization and valid documentation or identification, it is strongly advised that you refrain from getting involved. Living abroad is not as glamorous as depicted in movies, as it is often challenging to maintain living standards and work conditions. Even with long hours of work, the pay is minimal due to the absence of proper documentation. Consequently, with such limited income, it is difficult to manage living expenses and save money. It is important to reconsider your initial goal of saving money by moving abroad.

How hard can living conditions be?

First and foremost, rest assured that you will be staying in comfortable houses with 5-6 people, sharing a room with a fellow guest. It is important to note that while cleanliness is a top priority, some guests may have different standards. In the unlikely event that you encounter noisy roommates, our staff will be on hand to assist you.

To live alone, you must possess a sufficient credit score and an annual income of at least 25 times the rent. Acquiring a solid credit score requires time, usually no less than a year of responsibly using a credit card.

It's important to note that not every American is eligible for a credit card. In the case of opening an account for the first time, you may be offered a "Secured Credit Card". The process works as follows: Suppose you want to purchase a $300 Secured Credit Card. The company will withdraw $300 in cash from your account and issue you a $300 Secured Credit Card. Although it's called a credit card, you're actually paying for it upfront with cash, which offers a secure and reliable way to build credit.

In order to establish your credit score, you must use the Secured Credit Card for at least a year. Keep in mind that credit card systems in America operate differently than those in Turkey. To achieve a good credit score, it's recommended to use no more than 30% of your credit card limit each month. For example, if your Secured Credit Card has a limit of $300, aim to use only $90 per month at most. It's important to note that even if you pay on time, using too much of your credit card limit can still lower your credit score - even if it's your own money. However, by following these guidelines, you can confidently establish and maintain a good credit score.

This country values individualism, which means that your success or failure is solely your responsibility. However, rest assured that you have the capability to succeed on your own. While it is important to be prepared for this reality, never forget that you have the power to achieve your goals and conquer any challenges that come your way.

I must clarify that the vast majority of Turkish youth employed in America hold jobs such as Uber driving, waitressing, delivery services, or pedicab driving. Nonetheless, it is important to acknowledge that these individuals are highly educated and intelligent university graduates. Do not be deceived by the seemingly glamorous lifestyle portrayed on social media, as it can have detrimental effects on both your mental and physical well-being.
