Local video marketing is undoubtedly one of the most effective ways to engage with your audience. With a masterfully edited video, your message will be conveyed to your audience with maximum impact. And the best part is, you can achieve this goal through both paid and free methods.

If your business is not utilizing video marketing (either through paid or free channels), or if it does not have a YouTube channel, you are either missing out on potential revenue or giving it away to your competitors. Although video advertising or channels may not receive as much attention, it is important to remember one thing: having a YouTube channel with well-edited videos that accurately describe your product or service is essential! Given the compelling statistics presented above, it is clear that video marketing cannot be underestimated. It is imperative for your business to have a YouTube channel, if you have not already created one. Once that is done, you can proceed to produce engaging video content.

How to Increase the Engagement Rate of Our YouTube Channel?

After you open your channel and create your video, there are two ways to show it to users.

1- Organic or Video (SEO). – Free

2- YouTube ads. – Paid

Organic or Video (SEO)

Many businesses make the mistake of incorrectly uploading their videos to their YouTube channel. This leads to fewer people viewing the videos. However, if we upload videos to YouTube correctly, we can increase viewership. Follow the steps below to do so.

Do Keyword Study

The first step is to conduct keyword research. One of my favorite methods is using the keyword suggestion service offered by YouTube.

To fully optimize your video for search on YouTube, simply log in and enter related keywords in the search field. YouTube will suggest popular and relevant keywords that you can use in the keyword field of your video. Remember to be selective and only include keywords that are relevant to your video to ensure high-quality content. Avoid using unnecessary keywords that may generate clicks but ultimately harm the overall quality of your video.

According to the YouTube search tool, I recommend two alternative keyword research tools: Google Trends and Google Keyword Planner. These resources can assist you in identifying the most suitable keywords for your content.

If you have a new YouTube channel, start with low-difficulty keywords.

When opening a new YouTube channel, it is advisable to look for keywords with lower levels of difficulty in order to increase your chances of appearing in search results. As your channel gains authority and credibility, you can start targeting keywords with higher difficulty levels to further increase your visibility and reach.

Title / Description / Tags

Once you have uploaded your video, it is absolutely essential to optimize the title, description, and tags. Remember to include the main keyword in all three fields. If your business is location-specific, don’t forget to include the location in the title, description, and tags. For example, if your company is a plastic surgery clinic in Beşiktaş, your title should read:

“Best Nose Aesthetic Surgery in Beşiktaş”

should be in the form. Here, the location is “Beşiktaş” and the keywords are “rhinoplasty” and “surgical operation”.

It is crucial to localize your content if you want your videos to appear in location-specific searches. By incorporating your keywords into the title, description, and tags, you can ensure that users can find you quickly and easily. Don’t make the mistake of neglecting localization, as it can greatly impact your video’s visibility and success.

Add Subtitles in Different Languages to Your Videos

To maximize your reach and increase your potential customer base, always remember to add subtitles to your videos. If you’re creating content in your own language, YouTube provides an automatic captioning service. For other languages, paid services such as Temi or Rev are available to ensure that your content is accessible to a wider audience.
