My Kolektif House Experience

For approximately 4 years, we had an office and registration at Kolektif House. We rented and used an office in their first location opened in Ataşehir, on the Anatolian Side of Istanbul. Until Kolektif House changed its entire sales team and embarked on a completely different path.

Prices Are Constantly Increasing

Prices at Kolektif House are constantly increasing by x5, x10, and this is regularly reflected in the prices every month. While the "traveler membership price for all locations" we received from them when we were last at A+Live Plaza was 4,900 TL, they suddenly increased the prices to 11,400 TL within three days, without giving us time to clarify or think. When we spoke to them again, they said they couldn't do anything after three days and could only assist with the price shown in the system. I received this price on Tuesday, the price increased on Friday, and they did not assist us with the old price on Friday. In other words, I'm talking about a company that couldn't honor the price it gave on Tuesday until Friday.

If you have a startup company and are looking for an office, I definitely do not recommend working with Kolektif House. They are constantly losing members, and new members are constantly joining. Because the price increases are not normal. Even if you have a physical office elsewhere, it's much more affordable, and you can stay there for years; you won't encounter utopian increases like x20 in annual agreements every year, as you do at Kolektif House!

WeWork vs. Kolektif House

I rented an office at WeWork, one of the first companies to start and implement the shared office concept, from 2018 to 2020. They do this business both with higher quality and at prices we can consider more reasonable. Let me show you the prices as of June 22, 2024, for Kolektif House and WeWork:

I don't understand when Istanbul surpassed New York.... If Kolektif House continues with this mindset, it will experience significant member loss and continue to do so. The offices are already empty because of high prices, and no one is renting them, yet they stubbornly refuse to lower prices to reasonable levels.

During the pandemic, we supported them; we paid our rent on time and in full, without delay. Despite the lockdowns and our inability to fully use the office... However, Kolektif House is not extending the same courtesy to us...
